Welcome

Perfectly positioned overlooking Lake Te Anau and the surrounding mountains, Lake Crest Lodge has been designed to provide a little bit of luxury during your stay and is the ultimate destination to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Fiordland.

We offer a warm welcome, and friendly Kiwi style hospitality.
Lake Te Anau and the Upukerora River are a short (250 metre) walk from the Lodge. Located on the edge of the Te Anau township we are lucky to take advantage of the expansive views and semi-rural setting whilst still being within walking or cycling distance to the town centre.

The Unit

The self-contained unit includes a kitchenette, lounge, dining area, en-suite bathroom and wardrobe. The central and underfloor heating will keep you cozy during cold Winter nights.

Kitchenette

The kitchenette includes a microwave, cutlery, bar fridge/chilled water, tea & coffee, and a complimentary bottle of wine on your arrival.

Bathroom

The tiled bathroom has heated towel rails and a hair dryer. After a long, hot shower soak up all your cares with our quality towelling.

Breakfast

Enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast served in your own private self-contained unit either indoors or on your deck soaking in the beauty of the surrounds.

Other

During your stay you will have access to private parking, two mountain bikes and free wifi.

Pricing

You cannot put a price on peace and happiness, but if you had to it would cost $350 per night.

Your Hosts

Polly & Russell are both born and bred Southlanders, having sold the family farm in the late 2000’s they enjoyed a period of time in Central Otago where they entered the hospitality and accommodation sector.

Missing the green grass and the desire to be closer to their expanding family they choose to move back to Southland and make Te Anau their home. Having spent most summer holidays camping in Te Anau it was the obvious location to build their new home.

Having owned and operated a larger lodge they decided they wanted to provide a private oasis for their guests to reflect on the days adventures and travels and take in the beautiful landscape.

Polly and Russell look forward to hosting you and helping you to experience all the local area has to offer.

Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement!

Lake Crest Lodge was built in 2018, set on approximately 3 acres of sprawling lawn with views of Lake Te Anau, framed by the Kepler and Murchison Mountains.

Located within the Te Anau township the property is easily accessible and within suitable distance to guest accommodation and reception venues. Pedestrian access to the Lake is located only 300 metres away creating the perfect photo opportunity.

Should the weather be unkind, we have a 6 m x 12 m marquee available for the ceremony and drinks and nibbles.

We also provide a purpose built accommodation wing comprising a large king sized room with kitchenette, luxurious ensuite bathroom and private decking perfect for the newlyweds or alternatively along with the other three guest rooms and shared bathroom the ideal retreat for the bridal party the night before the big day.

Catering

We are happy to work in with your chosen caterers to provide a high standard of service for your catering requirements.

Taxi

A taxi service operates within the Te Anau Township allowing your guests to travel safely between your ceremony and reception.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is required at the time of booking to secure the venue for your chosen wedding date. The remaining amount is to be paid in full on or before the day of your rehearsal.
